This is the look I wore to go out for my birthday! When I have an event coming up, I usually over- stress about what makeup to wear, and go overboard with trying too many things on my face at once. This time however, I really love how it turned out and it was really easy. On the night of, I was getting ready at a friend’s place and only took one photo of the makeup because we had lighting constraints, but I recreated it this week for this post. The only difference this time is that I didn’t put on my Queen B lashes and I have a different nude lip on for these pictures. Please excuse my hair, it was thrown up in a messy bun this day.
The look I was going for was very bronze, very golden, with a winged liner and lashes. I love going out of my comfort zone when I do makeup to push the limits and try new looks. However, for this night I didn’t want to mess up or take forever. It was more about hanging out with my friends, doing their makeup, and getting mine finished so I could go hang out with everyone! I used the sandy/ mustard tones I have been talking about a lot lately. Desert Sands has an almost greenish baby puke tone to the brown, so to play that up I went for Voltage by Makeup Geek (white gold/yellow/greenish duochrome) and the Urban Decay Distortion glitter to make it even more intense.
