This makeup look is a simple glam smokey wing inspired by Chelsea DeBoer from my favorite guilty pleasure show Teen Mom 2. I have to come clean- I am addicted to this show. Back in college when I had cable I watched this show regularly, but in the past few years I ditched cable and it fell off my radar. Even when my love for the show died down a bit, I have continually followed Chelsea Houska on Instagram. When I was skinnier/ younger, I was told that I looked like her, which I took as a major compliment because I think she is gorgeous. Chelsea has always been my favorite girl in the Teen Mom series. We both love spray tans, big red hair, big framed glasses, and glam makeup.
After seeing that the show is on Hulu, it has been on my TV nonstop. I’m on season five, and her look is so pretty. All of a sudden she got super fit, her makeup is well done, she has a cute car, and her relationship with Cole DeBoer (now her husband!) is too cute. She goes a lot heavier on black eyeliner and shadow than I do- so I incorporated that by doing black eye shadow on my lash line before going in with liquid eyeliner. If I had worn glasses, added in extensions with some loose curls, and did another layer or two of Loving Tan, I think this would have been a little bit more Chelsea- like. In some of the photos below I added in her signature big headband/ bun look too.
