Let’s see how many times I can type “liquid lipsticks”. Whenever a brand comes out with a collection of liquified matte lip colors, I’m interested. I’m hooked on lipsticks and I love the liquid lipstick trend that has fully saturated just about every brand. I have found that wearing matte liquid lipsticks is the easiest way to keep my lip color intact on a night out.
Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick // Smashbox liquid lipsticks are the most comfortable matte I have personally tried. They need to expand the color range so I can get more!
Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick // Arguably the best formula ever created
Sephora Cream Lip Stain // Nothing bad to say about these! At $14 a piece, you can’t go wrong and they last all night.
Bare Minerals Gen Nude Matte Liquid Lipcolor // A whole collection of nude, comfortable, mousey formula lipsticks. They require a few coats to be fully opaque and they smell like heaven. They transfer on me and are satin rather than matte.
Dose of Colors Liquid Matte // The colors Stone & Taupe are flattering on so many skintones. These are major favorites for me.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick // They started the matte liquid lipstick fever right? Had to put them on here.
Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick // Cutest packaging, pigmented formula. I love these when I don’t mind a creamy finish. Swatch Melted Chihuahua and you’ll fall in love with the color range.
Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks // Ultra matte and pigmented, a bit drying but that is to be expected with a liquid lipstick.
MAC Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour // Longwearing and standard MAC quality so it’s good enough for me. They just came out with some beautiful new nude colors.
Tarteist Creamy Matte Lip Paint // I haven’t tried the quick dry version that Tarte came out with more recently, but the one I own is an amazing creamy formula that stays comfortable and is EXTREMELY pigmented with one swipe. I have the shade Texas Toast.
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream // Affordable, easy application, comfortable wear. Very comparable formula to the Bare Minerals Gen Nudes but more matte.
Sadly this one is the only affordable option I have tried that I have been impressed by. I went through a MAJOR Colourpop phase about a year ago. However, almost all of the shades I have have separated into a weird liquid oily mess in the tubes. Colourpop lipsticks are sahara desert drying, but I can usually handle that by moisturizing and using a plumping treatment before applying. The Ultra Satin formula stains my lips bright red, so I despise them lol. I probably won’t be picking up any other Colourpop Ultra Mattes or Satins unfortunately :/
Urban Decay Vice Liquid Lipsticks // I recently tried Rock Steady, a deep matte red from this new line by Urban Decay. The color is beautiful, but the application was messy, I had to layer up a few times to get it evenly across my mouth, and it was VERY drying. I had to use oil to get it off, which could be good if you need something to not budge. I’m keeping it for this reason, but am not buying any more colors.
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks // A lot of people love these, so it could just be personal preference. For me, these crumble, crease, and look dry. For the price, they aren’t worth it to me.
Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kit // These are very comparable to the Kat Von D liquid lipsticks. I ended up selling almost all the lip kits I had on Poshmark because I simply don’t use them. They aren’t the worst formula I have ever used, but I think they are majorly over hyped because of the celeb behind them. This is coming from a major Kylie Jenner fan! Her lip liners are FABULOUS though. Her lip kit shade Love Bite is so beautiful and I’m on the hunt for a dupe in a brand I like more.
I wrote “lipstick” eighteen times in this post, and “liquid” seventeen. Have a great day!
