Bridal Shower Makeup + Koko Stella Lash Love ✨

Usually I stay away from thick dramatic lashes. With my round eye shape I have to do everything I can to not make them look closed off- this means I go for wispy long lashes or ones that have more of a clustered look like Bambie from House of Lashes or Ardell 600 style. I saw roryp_ on insta use these lashes though, and had to get them for myself. I took a leap out of my comfort zone and am so happy I did. While these are more on the dramatic side, they are a bit clustered. The clusters are thick and these lashes are LONG, but they totally work.

If you aren’t someone who likes ultra glam looks these won’t be for you. However if you’re like me and typically stay on the more light and wispy side for lashes, give these a try. They look glam and a little “extra-ish” but don’t close off the eye. These would look STUNNING on someone with more almond- shaped eyes. I saw Holly Boon on youtube use them in a look and they almost looked natural on her. I can’t rave about them enough and I keep telling my friends that they need them.  To see more pictures of the lashes, check out my post on how to trim lashes without losing length

bridal shower makeup

As for the makeup look, I wore these to a bridal party for a friend. She is having me do the makeup for her bridal party in September so I really wanted to go the extra mile for this event.  I originally had intended to create a soft orangey- brown matte eye with a spotlight of copper in the center and a more bold lip like Ciate Pin Up. However, on the day of the party it was 90 out and daytime of course so the bold lip was way too over the top.

I was running late and didn’t get to take a picture of the makeup before I left for the bridal shower, so these photos show how it looked after about four hours of wear in and out of 90 degree heat. It held up great as you can see!  Products I used:

FACE| BECCA Evermatte & SMASHBOX primers, MUFE stick & COVERGIRL clean matte BB cream, BECCA undereye brightening corrector, TARTE shape tape, MAYBELLINE better skin powder, MAYBELLINE fit me powder in mocha to contour, MAC give me sun bronzer, BAREMINERALS bisque undereye powder, TARTE paaarty blush, SMASHBOX pearl highlight, URBAN DECAY velvetizer powder

BROW| ABH auburn pomade, NYX Control Freak, MUFE brow liner

EYE| URBAN DECAY primer potion, MUG Peach Smoothie & Cabin Fever, MORPHE Butter, Roxanne, and Hunts, NYX glitter glue, MUFE starlit powder, NYC liquid liner, DIOR mascara, KOKO Stella lashes

LIP| MILANI spice liner, TARTE birthday suit lip paint

The main products that I relied on to keep my makeup from melting off were Becca Evermatte primer, Urban Decay Velvetizer, MUFE mist + fix patted in with a sponge, and NYX control freak brow gel over top of my bottom lashes to prevent sweaty mascara transferring.

Hope you have a great weekend. Thank you for reading and go try these lashes! 😉
