Ulta & Sephora Haul | Swatches & Mini Review

It’s that time of year when Ulta and Sephora do 20% off sales, and I kind of go crazy getting  things that have been on my wish list.

ABH Gradient Blush / The brown with a little bit of green looked like an interesting contour shade.  I think the idea is to have a little bit of olive in there to work well with olive skin tones? Either way I’m excited to try all the shades in this on my cheeks and as matte eyeshadow.

ABH Cool Brown Lipstick

ABH Cool Brown Lipstick

ABH Cool Brown Matte Lipstick / When I first opened this lipstick I wasn’t super into the color, but application blew me away.  This is the perfect hot chocolate cocoa color that is so flattering. I’m in love and it’s one of the only brown lipsticks I own.  The formula of these are so nice in that when they say matte, they are MATTE.

tarte fortune

Tarte Fortune / I’m on the fence whether I like this lipstick or not… I like the long wear of the formula, but it took a few coats to not be patchy because it does dry so instantly.  It has a lot of grey. Still deciding whether I’ll be returning this or not.

Maybelline x Gigi Hadid Taura Lipstick / This is one of my favorites from everything I bought. It’s so pigmented and creamy in the perfect nude tone.

MAC Gingerly Blush / Mac is my favorite blush formula, and I’m surprised I hadn’t already bought this perfect brown peach color.  I will be getting so much use out of this.

Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe Butter Masque / Anything with “butter” in the name catches my interest.  This mask smells like fresh sweet coconut. I’ll report back on how well it moisturizes my hair.

NYX Gunmetal glitter / I’m going through a new eyeshadow color phase of the moment- gunmetal steel grey. It’s very 2008 The Hills smokey eye and I’m on the hunt for the perfect dark metallic grey with a blue or taupe shift and tons of sparkle. This glitter is the perfect color to add on top of greys that aren’t as shimmery as I would like.

Natasha Denona Palette 9 / EEK this is all I got at Sephora’s VIB Rouge 20% off sale. The store was packed when I went on my lunch break and I ended up in front of the Natasha Denona counter.  I haven’t allowed myself to swatch these shadows because the price point is insane.  All the ones I touched were ridiculously pigmented and now I get the hype around them.  I ended up with the olive green palette 9.  It has 5 PERFECT shimmery shades in an olive green theme. I used all the shades but the 1st on the left for the look below, and only had to dip my brush into them once to get all the pigment I wanted.

Real Techniques Instapop Brush / I saw someone bronzing with this big fluffy brush and was so intrigued by the slanted shape.  I intend to use it for blush and bronzer.

Cerave Moisturizer / Recently I finished a bottle of Cetaphil and went for this one instead. It’s a great basic moisturizer with hyaluronic acid that goes so well under makeup.

Nip + Fab Glycolic Pads Night Extreme / These were another refill for me. I’ve been out for like a week and my skin isn’t as glowy without them!

I do not need to shop for new makeup for the rest of my life at this point.  Lots of makeup looks and in depth posts will be coming soon featuring these items. Let me know if there’s anything in particular you want to see more of.
