Glam Green Eyeshadow Look

This weekend I went to see my best friend’s wedding dress, and I wanted to document the makeup that I wore that night.  It was magical seeing her in the dress and I can’t wait to be her bridesmaid this summer.  This is makeup that I would definitely wear to a special occasion like a wedding.

For this look I wanted to use olive green with plenty of liner to define my eyes. When I first put on the Natasha Denona Glam Green, it was a little clashy with my eye color, so I brightened up the inner corner with the Anastasia Nicole Glow Kit in Kitty Kat.  It toned down the green and I went from almost washing off my makeup to really liking the outcome. It wasn’t as olive as I originally was intending, so I’ll be trying to make more green work another time.

After I used some neutral tan in the crease, I blended a dark green pencil liner into my lash line and outer v and set it with a dark green shadow. Next I added a matte olive to use as a transition between the dark outer corner and the olive shimmer on the lid.  The Natasha Denona 18M Glam Green is the most pigmented and sparkly shimmer I have in my collection, and it was easy to apply with a damp synthetic brush. Lastly for eyeshadow I blended more neutral brown under my lower lash line and topped the lid off with some shimmery pink highlight to lighten up the green.

P.S.: The featured picture on this post shows my hair looking VERY RED.  When I hit the auto wand icon on my phone to edit the color it went BRIGHT. I’m not even sure how to do that myself with the color editing controls on the iPhone photo app so if anyone can help me with that please comment below. I thought it looked cool and it didn’t alter the makeup so I went ahead and posted it.  It makes me feel like digging out some boxes of Loreal Hi Color and going bright red again.  Thank you for reading as always! 🙂
