Wishlist Wednesday: Face Masks

For this post I am sharing some of the products that I have been eyeing in the skin care section.  When it comes to masks, I have one or two staples, but for the most part I use sample sizes that seem to come in every online order.  So far I have yet to discover a holy grail mask that makes a significant impact in my skin.  If I’m shopping for a new mask, I usually want something hydrating for when I want to feel refreshed and smoother.  Otherwise, I want the opposite- a mud mask to suck out oil and murder shit that is breaking me out.   The seven below are some that I have heard great things about.

  1. Tony Moly Strawberry Nose Pack

This is a three step blackhead removal system. I have not tried anything from Tony Moly, but I have heard that this really gets out gunk.  I have meteor- sized pores on my face, so this one appealed to me.  Currently I use the classic Biore Pore Strips and I feel like they do nothing.  I would love to test to see if this works any better.

  1. Franklin & Whitman Spruce Hill Face Mask

Franklin & Whitman is a smaller niche brand, which I enjoy supporting.  The ingredients of Matcha Green Tea and charcoal sucked me in.  This mask was a recommendation by JKissa, and the girl doesn’t even wear foundation so you know she is a skincare pro.

3 & 4.  Lush Rosy Cheeks Fresh Face Mask, Lush      Don’t Look At Me Fresh Face Mask

Lush masks need no explanation for why they are on this list.  They smell great, have fresh ingredients, and are so fancy that they need to be refrigerated. Gimme.

  1. First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Purifying Mask With Red Clay

The description looks like it was made for me: “It regulates excess sebum, and eliminates clogged pores. In addition, mineral rich red clay reduces congestive pigmentation in problem areas where pimples previously formed and improves the skin’s texture. As the mask is peeled away, skin looks smoother, softer, and refreshed while pores appear visibly reduced.”  There are rave reviews online about this, and I have been wanting to try out the First Aid Beauty line.

  1. Dr. Brandt Oxygen Facial Flash Recovery Mask

I actually tried a sample of this mask and loved it! It started out as a gel that fizzed up bubbles and felt like it was penetrating oxygen deep in my congested pores…it was amazing. I haven’t pulled the trigger on it yet because it is pricey- $70. But, if it helps my skin as much as it felt like it was, it is worth it for sure.

  1. Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask

If it has pumpkin, I need it. You know when YouTubers do a haul and then say, “If you buy anything from all these products, make sure to get THIS.”  They get me every time.  That’s what happened with this mask when I watched a skincare haul on YouTube from Meghan Reinks.

Hopefully when I end up buying some of these, one of them will end up being that holy grail/ skin changing/ one in a million that I am after.  I’ll let you know!
