Urban Decay Naked Skin One & Done | KimandMakeup

In the past month or so, I had a realization about makeup.  Actually, more about complexion makeup to be specific.  It should have been obvious, but glowy natural skin is pretty.

For a long time, I have been really into full coverage, mattifying powders, and anything meant to cover spots, texture, and hide my skin in general.  It may have started to go this way for me because of my oily skin.  Mattifying foundations and powders to stop my skin from looking oily and more like a smooth uniform surface was appealing I guess.

I came to this realization from thinking more about skin care, and honestly, from being blown away by the beauty of models like Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, and Hailey Baldwin.  They are gorgeous, and their faces never look overly made up or fake. What!?  I’m 25 years old and have a lifetime of my skin getting older and older, might as well play it up and emphasize looking youthful as long as I can!!

That brings me to my thoughts on Urban Decay’s Naked Skin One & Done foundation.  When I picked this up, I wasn’t sure how I would feel about it, since I do not have experience with any other BB cream or tinted moisturizer products other than the It! Cosmetics CC cream. That one sets the bar pretty high.

I picked up the shade medium and have incorporated it into my daily makeup.  To me, the coverage is just a tad bit less than the It! Cosmetics one, and it looks really similar to the creamy formula of that one when pumped onto my hand.  This is the perfect product for simply amping up my skin and evening out the tone.  This foundation is beautifully natural yet your skin looks “enhanced.” This is what I would wear if I wanted a natural finish to throw on mascara with and run out the door.  But, it can also be worn as a nice base for the usual concealer, setting powder, bronzer, blush, full face glam routine.  No, it may not keep my natural oils from coming through later in the day, but that’s okay because the goal when I use this is not to put on a mask, but to have a fresher look.

Another great thing about this foundation is that it’s build- able to make it look more flawless, but never gets cakey.  Skin still shows through, but makes everything appear more flawless without being heavy.  I have been loving this foundation for everyday use and will definitely be repurchasing it going forward.
