SMASHBOX Always On Matte Liquid Lipsticks are so amazing that I had to dedicate a whole post to them. I hadn’t heard much about these in the blog or YouTube world, and they were totally off my radar when I received one for my birthday. I was happily surprised by this the moment I swatched it.
I have the shade Big Spender, which is a berry pink color, and described as “rose” by SMASHBOX. I can’t wait to wear this color all the time during the fall. Honestly, I’m not obsessed with the full color range, but I hope they will come out with more at some point. My picks from the range would have to be Girl Gang (plum), Stepping Out (deep nude), Miss Conduct (deep, warm plum), Chill Zone (deep, cool grey), and Out Loud (Deep Orange).
The packaging for these are unique because they are short and square, rather than the typical long cylinder shape that you see from many brands.
One of my favorite YouTubers Casey Holmes also said she loved these. She recently revealed that she is doing a collaboration with SMASHBOX, and I have a feeling it could be a color of her own in this “Always On” range. (Just my speculation.)

I have tried so many liquid lipsticks and I think this one might be one of the best! My other favorite formulas for liquid lipsticks are Ofra and Bare Minerals Gen Nude. This one is not as hydrating as those two, but feels thinner in consistency. It won’t last through greasy food, but reapplying is easy enough. This is the kind of lip product that you can put on and feel secure that it won’t budge or feather.
