Lipsticks are my weakness. I buy too many, overline too much, and always have more on my wishlist. Out of all the products in my collection, lipstick is definitely the most fun for me to purchase. In the past couple years I have been into liquid lipsticks because I am a sucker for everything matte. However, there is something about a classic lipstick bullet is a little bit more classic- and comfortable! The following brands are the ones I feel comfortable spending
too much money on.
High End Lipstick
Bite Amuse Bouche Lipstick // Creamy, smell like citrus, moisturizing, beautiful shades. This formula definitely transfers on anything your lips touch, but they feel like reapplying chapstick.
Nars Audacious Lipstick // Holy PIGMENT, longwearing, and worth the high price tag in my opinion. The selection of red shades is so beautiful. I would love to see them expand the nude side of this line.
MAC // iconic and amazing shade range. Check out my favorite shades HERE
Buxom True Nude Lip Foundation // So matte yet they have a smooth application. I have the shade Nude in my work bag at all times. They are a thin tube, which makes them a breeze to apply. I feel like I do not need a lip liner with these.
Urban Decay Vice Lipstick // I have only tried out one of these in the matte formula, but I really liked it. They released something like 100 new shades in various formulas, so there is a color out there for everyone! I really like the gold and silver packaging on these.
Lower Price Options
Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte // I really like the formula of these. Great drugstore option.
Milani Color Statement Moisture Mattes // Formula feels high end, and they smell like orange creamsicles.
Colourpop Lippie Stix // I love these!! They have so many beautiful shades in this range. I really like both the regular lippie stix and the matte x formula. Talk about retail therapy. If you want to put like nine in your cart you will have only spent $45.
Am I forgetting any? I’d love to hear about your favorites that I should check out!
