Mustard Eye Look & New Brand Discovery

While browsing through Instagram I discovered Looxi Beauty. Looxi is known for making intense and unique duochrome eye shadows.  At $5 they are a great price, and the colors are absolutely beautiful. While initially attracted to a few of the duochromes, I stumbled upon their matte eye shadows. Wheatness is the mustard yellow shade I have been missing in my collection. The formula of this matte shadow reminds me SO much of Anastasia Beverly Hills. It has a quite a bit of kickback when you pick up the powder on a brush, but the pigmentation is intense and easy to blend out.  I love Wheatness so much that I added it into my Life Palette

I have been on the hunt for a matte bright honey yellow shadow for way too long now. I want something the color of a school bus or road warning sign. While I haven’t found that vibrant one yet, I love this more muted one from Looxi too.  I truly feel like this is a unique shade. Why don’t more brands have dandelion yellow shadows?! Occasionally I see them in a palette, but gimme a shadow single PLEASE.

Looxi also has highlighters for $7.50 that are in single pro pans- perfect for slipping into a Zpalette!  They had some amazing colorful duochrome highlights too- pink, green, blue, etc.  If you are wanting to play around with colorful highlighters but don’t want to commit to something like the Anastasia Moonchild Glow Kit or Kat Von D Alchemy Palette, check this affordable option instead.  I picked up three in Celestial, Creme De La Creme, and Stiletto.  They are just as great if not better than any other highlighter I have tried. Creme De La Creme worked beautifully as an inner corner highlight and on my cheekbone for this look. Instead of a honey gold shimmer on the lid, I used a pink and gold duochrome to play around. I could be happy as a clam never hearing about the Too Faced Peach collection again (so over they hype) but I was inspired to add a bit of pinkish peach to this golden look.  Below are all the products I used and some more photos of how this turned out.

I’ve been wanting to try Looxi. I need to get another Z palette first though. 😂
