Simple ABH Modern Renaissance Pallete Makeup

Simple ABH Modern Renaissance Pallete Makeup

I had a bad makeup day the other day- one of those where I tried to do something different but really didn’t have a good idea in mind. It went wrong and I made me discouraged, so I picked up my Anastasia Beverly Hills Renaissance palette the next time I did my makeup. I love this palette and did what never fails me- an orange eye. This turned out nicely I think. I know it’s nothing crazy different or unique as far as makeup looks go, but sometimes I need that to keep my sanity!!  I forget that every look doesn’t need to be jaw dropping or a work of art that noone has seen before.

Before I put the shimmer shadows from the palette on my lid, I tried something different.  I picked up Colourpop Wisp on my pointer finger and ran it over my lid. This acted like the perfect base for the other colors and I was excited that I found an awesome new technique to help me get shimmers that don’t go on patchy or mess up the matte crease. Matte shadows can be hard to add a shimmery lid with because they are made to have a dry matte look obviously.  The Colourpop highlight is made to work nicely on top of a powdered cheek, so using in on my eye worked so nicely! Try it out if you ever struggle with shimmery colors like me.

I originally went in with MAC Del Rio lipstick, but it clashed a bit with what I was wearing and was way too overdone for my Sunday night dinner that I did this look for. I picked up another product that never fails me, MAC Myth.  Myth gets shit for being too pale, but I honestly love it! I used a Too Faced liner to keep it from washing me out.
