Cut Crease Chronicles Vo.2

Last week I made another attempt at a cut crease. It has been a long time since I attempted one (last summer!!) because they are extremely challenging for me and I had pretty much given up.  I switched up my technique and tried out a new shape and it turned out much better than last time.

After I applied orange and red matte shadows to the crease, I used the Morphe M425 to apply Tarte’s Shape Tape concealer. It is a very stiff small brush to help get the details right. To make the shape I arched the crease above the mobile lid and stopped about half way. I’m not ready for a full on cut crease quite yet. Another trick I incorporated was to cover my mistakes with glitter. My matte eyeshadows are all Makeup Geek, the glitter is Touch In Sol Margaret. I did a gradient from matte white inner third lid, glitter, then back to matte dark red on the outer V/ outer third of the lid.

To make sure I didn’t hide the cut crease work behind lashes, I customized a pair of Christina lashes. I cut them in half then layered the two halves to keep them thick and dramatic, but much shorter. They were super comfortable to wear and easier than ever to apply.
