New Lipstick, Lashes, & Red Eyeshadow Look

Hello! For this post I wanted to talk about some new lashes and a lipstick I’m currently loving, plus a red eyeshadow look I did last night with the Jaclyn Hill x Morphe palette.

Lashes

I found Iikonn Lashes through Instagram, and went to purchase the style Black Magic. Ever since trying Koko Stella lashes, I’ve been getting more into super long styles.  These ones looked beautiful online, so I went ahead and got Black Magic and Slay.  These lashes are PRICEY, so I was expecting a lot from them because I’m wearing them to a wedding this weekend. I wasn’t disappointed when they came in the mail. The lash band is thin, they are ultra lightweight, and super long.  These are stunner lashes that made my eyeshadow instantly look 10x more glam than with just mascara. I reached out to iikonn for a coupon code- kimandmakeup gets you 30% off. This is my first coupon code so if you use it, thank you!

Anastasia Beverly Hills released matte lipsticks a month or so ago, and the color Honey was the one I knew I would love. I waited to buy it until I could swatch it in person.  The reason I decided to go ahead and get it is because it is the perfect color balance to be unique to my collection.  I compared ABH Honey to a few of the other lipsticks I own in the photo above.  You know those perfect mid tone nude lipsticks like MAC Viva Glam II or Bite Honeycomb?  Honey is like mixing those colors with MAC Blankety or Really Me, but still somehow different!  I love the beige tan almost muted mauve color of Honey.  The formula is matte but doesn’t drag across the lips, and feels like I’m wearing nothing.  It is a very thin matte formula.  Based on how great this one is, I would definitely pick up more shades from the line.

Look

I wanted to use the Jaclyn Hill Morphe Palette to create a red look.  The gorgeous red brick colors Jacz and Roxanne found permanent residence in my “life palette” right after I depotted this.  I used them with Firework, the copper shimmer from the collab palette.  I almost left the look all matte because the shadows were already so beautiful on their own, but I hadn’t tried out Firework yet and forced myself to stop being boring.  I LOVED how this eye makeup turned out and it wasn’t as over the top as I was worried it was going to be.  While it is super glam eyeshadow, wearing it with a nude lip made it work for real- life wear.  The palette restocked today if you’re interested in getting it!  The other products I used to complete this look were-

COMPLEXION| URBAN DECAY naked skin one & done, TARTE aquacealer, MAYBELLINE fit me powder, LORAC porefection powder, PHYSICIAN’S FORMULA butter bronzer, MILANI luminoso blush, MAC soft & gentle highlight

BROW| ABH dipbrow, L’OREAL brow stylist plumper

EYES| SMASHBOX primer, MORPHE jacz, roxanne, firework, MAKEUP GEEK peach smoothie transition shade, BENEFIT eye bright liner, L’OREAL miss manga rock mascara, IIKONN black magic lashes (kimandmakeup for 30% off)

LIP| ABH Honey lipstick

Thank you so much for reading this post and stopping by my blog! 🙂
