Order of Steps to Apply Makeup

 

There isn’t a whole lot to this post, but I thought this might help someone out there that is still perfecting the order of events in which they apply their makeup.  Last year I always had to do my face first, then eyes, and now I’m the opposite!  Somewhere along the way I switched.  Here are the steps I go through for a full face application:

Moisturizer

Eye primer

Eyeshadow

Eyeliner

Face primer

Foundation

Cream contour

Concealer

Setting powder

Contour & bronzer

Under eye brightening powder

Blush

Lower lash line eyeshadow

Brows

Setting Spray

Carving out/ cleaning up under contour with translucent powder (not always)

Highlight

Mascara

Apply false lashes

Lip Liner, lipstick

After I have everything complete sometimes I’ll add a bit more bronzer, blend out my eyeshadow crease, or add some setting powder if I look shiny.  Everyone does their makeup in a different order- no certain way is correct necessarily. 🙂
