Pearly White Half Cut Crease Eyeshadow

It gives me butterflies to type that I have semi- figured out a cut crease. For ages I just didn’t know where to put things. Now that I have it down to a certain extent I really have been enjoying creating them.  For this version I wanted a bright white shimmery “cut” part with greyish mauve matte on the crease and outer corner area. The outcome looked extremely bridal/ feminine to me at the end. I’ll definitely be recreating this one a few more times with different shades and maybe a better transition from cut part to outer corner. Making that part seamless is harder for me than I feel like it should be!

Here is how I achieved this cut crease step by step:

  1. Apply eyeshadow primer and set with a matte skintone powder
  2. Blend out crease, lower lash line & outer corner shades. Build up a little bolder than you think you need because the cut crease takes some of it away.
  3. Using concealer, cut out out half the crease.  Imagine a dome shape on your eye, and make that shape with the concealer.
  4. Set with Colourpop High Tide, then Morphe Beam
  5. Stamp Makeup Geek Bandwagon transition shade with a flat liner brush around the dome to softly define
  6. Add mascara, lashes, & a thin liner over the band
  7. Waterline pencil, inner corner highlight

The lashes were a new style for me that I’ve worn twice now- Koko Lashes Monroe. They have a thick band that wants to stay straight on my round lid so I had to add a little liner to disguise it. Next time I use them again I’ll be cutting them basically in half to make them more easy to apply as an outer corner style.

This lipstick was so comfortable that I could barely tell I had it on.  If you find liquid lipsticks annoyingly drying, I recommend trying out Ofra’s formula.  Now onto mastering a full cut crease instead of just half…
