Hi! So it’s been 11 months since I’ve uploaded a Youtube video. I can’t for the life of me act normal talking to a camera, so I’ve held off. I feel so cringey when I’m watching myself on video, but you’ve gotta start somewhere right? The other day I sat down and forced myself to film a get ready with me/ what’s in my makeup bag video. I pretended like I was talking to a friend and told myself I do this all the time to break myself out of being so nervous. I got some semi decent footage, so I edited it my phone’s iMovie and put up the video this morning.
The outfit I’m wearing is questionable, my legs aren’t self tanned, my manicure is chipped, and my hair was dirty. I had just done an elliptical workout and it was hair washing day, but waiting around to film when I look better is how I end up going a year between uploads.
I’m sure I’m not the only one that struggles with filming, editing, and uploading. I’m oddly passionable about makeup/skincare/ all things beauty though, so I’m giving it my best shot here. Another hurdle I struggle with is the idea of my friends, family, or anyone that I know watching me.
