Duping the Urban Decay Naked Cherry Palette

The Urban Decay Naked Cherry palette has caught my eye every time I see it online.  The scarlet and berry tones on the far right side of the palette are gorgeous, and the shimmery raspberry color in there is the biggest draw for me.  One glance at my eyeshadow palette drawer tells me that I have enough though, so I set out to dupe it with my own collection of single shadows. I would love to go back to collecting single shadows more often again- being able to dupe palette releases and making my own selection is something I really enjoy.

When it came to duping the  palette, there was only one shade that I felt like I didn’t have right off the bat.  I went to Sephora and picked up the single shadow by Sephora Collection in Sweet Lollipop to complete this duping session. It filled a gap that I felt like I didn’t have in my collection.

Trying to dupe this palette was difficult because seeing the photos online on Instagram posts vs. now seeing it on Sephora’s official image makes it hard to really tell what these shadows look like.  I was using some Instagram posts and I think I got the gist of the palette, but not down to exact shades. I do think though, that if someone wanted to create a look with the Naked Cherry palette, they could do it with the shades I picked, which is really what matters.

Here’s what I came up with:

As you can see, I used Morphe, Makeup Geek, Sephora Collection, Urban Decay, and Colourpop eyeshadows.  I absolutely love pink and cranberry shades like this palette. If a palette came out that was bolder, with more purples and true pinks, I might take the plunge on buying it. I am eager to see the new Lawless eyeshadow palette releasing in a couple months! Annie, the founder did a Youtube video with the shades and it had lots of purple and pink, so I have hopes for that one. The Colourpop Oh La La palette is absolutely adorable and very pink.  It’s Mean Girls themed, which I can’t help but love.

I used to own the Urban Decay original Naked 1 palette, and the Naked 3.  I actually decluttered both of them and would love for Urban Decay to put out a new one that I can’t live without! Naked 1 was my first palette and one of my first high end purchases in general so they hold a lot of nostalgia for me.  Naked Cherry is actually the closest I’ve come to wanting to buy one again. Thank you so much for reading. Let me know your favorite pink shimmery eyeshadows. I’d love some suggestions.
