A few pictures of these shoes came up on my Snapchat feed from the beauty gurus I follow, and I can’t get them out of my head! Athleisure apparel + high end makeup brands seem like a match made in heaven to me.
The Smashbox Always On matte liquid lipsticks are one of my favorite products of the moment, and it seems like they are being promoted as a compliment to the shoes- lightweight Nike Air Max 1 Ultra Flyknits, lightweight lipstick formula.
I have been trying to do research on this product and am coming up short, so I figured I would create something on my blog :). Only one article on Google comes up, a post from the event space where the event was held, and the Instagram hashtag #nikexsmashbox only has about three posts that have no helpful information. I am slightly disappointed that the Nikes themselves do not have NikexSmashbox printed anywhere on them. It may sound silly , but I could definitely justify the purchase if they had the Smashbox logo. Without it, I am left pretty disenchanted. As an Oregonian that lives close to Nike headquarters and knowing a handful of people that work there, it just feels wrong to pay full price when I typically can finagle my way to the employee discount.
For now, I will just be patiently hopeful that more brands like this come out with more exciting collaborations. Side note: how do I get on the level of getting invited to Smashbox events!? Dreamy.
