Contour kits never appealed to me. I’m not a professional makeup artist, I don’t need the color range provided in most kits on the market. For example,The Kat Von D Shade + Light contour powders have an amazing formula, but I would only get use out of two of the six shades in that palette. I buy a lot of makeup, but I’m frugal when it comes to stuff like that. I don’t buy if I can’t see myself using something. While I am happy there is a shade for every skin tone in most palettes, I don’t need the fair shades, and I don’t need the deep shades. I love when brands offer individual powder pans to pop in a zpalette so I can make my own. I have slowly added pans to this palette over the past year as I came across individual shades that I liked.

If you share the same frustrations over contour kits, I hope this inspires you to create your own. You could even depot powder compacts to a zpalette to have everything in one place! Personally I suck at depotting and am terrified of shattering all my blushes/ highlighters/pressed powders doing this lol.
