Best of Tarte
Basically this is a concentrated version of a favorites post from me. Instead of showing you all my holy grails, I basically filter it by brand. All of the products mentioned are Tarte products I feel like I get my money’s worth out of and have recommended to friends.
Swamp Queen Palette / When this was first released I didn’t think much of it. What sold me was when I was able to swatch it in person. The colors were so soft and pigmented, and the shades are so cohesive for everyday looks. So easy to do something warm, mauve, pink, dark brown, or just minimal. I always grab this palette when I need to do a quick makeup look and I’m not in the mood to fuss over my eyeshadow. The colors do have a ton of fall out because they are that ultra pigmented kind with lots of kickback when you put your brush in. I find that you don’t need to do much blending to get a nice wash of color.
Make Believe In Yourself Palette / Another one that got me when I touched it in person. These shadows are super metallic. I’m boring so usually I look at a palette that has bright blues and purples and think “no thanks!” which is why I wasn’t initially drawn to this. Cover those three brights though and you’ll see so many wearable shimmers and even duochromes.
Tartelette in Bloom / My no brainer suggestion for someone that wants a palette and is just starting to get into makeup. I use this very frequently. I am SO excited for the Tartelette Toasted palette being released this fall in the same format but a more warm browns theme.
Pro Magnetic On the Prowl Palette / I love camo so this was a must have for me. $10 for an awesome nine pan travel palette with a mirror.
Filtered Light Setting Powder / Soft finely milled setting powder that doesn’t cause flashback and smells like vanilla. Overpriced but I fell in love with it unfortunately for my wallet.
Shape Tape / It took me awhile to figure out how to properly use this to get the results that everyone raves about. The key is to not put on a ton because a little goes a very long way. Use over primed and moisturized under eyes. I like it most with a tacky primer anduse the Becca brightening under eye corrector.
Blush / Tarte blushes are unparalleled for me. I recently got Paaarty from Sephora as a birthday perk, but the color Sensual is my all time favorite. Worth the hype for sure.
Aquacealer / This concealer is one of my tried and true products but you don’t hear about it all that much. It blends so easily and is great as an everyday concealer. It’s lightweight and less Instagram- glam than Shape Tape, but looks great in person and never fails me.
Contour / I use this everytime I do my makeup. It is fluffy and blends out contour powders in a flash.
Airbuki / Great little compact brush for buffing in cream products. I use it for foundation when I travel or for blending out cream contour at home
Color Splash / This line of lipsticks offer a beautiful formula and a gorgeous color range. They are creamy with a satin finish and are ultra- lightweight. I like to add them on top of my liquid lipsticks if I want a long lasting lip with a comfortable feeling. My favorite colors are Rum Punch and Beach Babe.
