OOTD | Floral Cami Dress

Many of my friends are getting engaged and married these days, so I’ve had quite a few opportunities to get dressed up as summer comes along.  Earlier this month I celebrated my friend’s engagement party in Bellevue, Washington. I don’t do many fashion posts but I’ll breakdown what I wore for that.

Dress / I bought this in September and finally got a chance to wear it! This dusty purple is one of my favorite colors.  I’m definitely going to be repeat wearing this. Right now it’s sold out in the color I got but I love the white it comes in too. Being tall and curvy usually means the plus size section at fast fashion stores like F21 fit me best.  There are so many cute floral dresses on Forever 21 right now!

Shoes / I found these when I was trying to find a semi dupe of these Louboutin platforms.

I’m already 5’10” and these made me extremely tall but made my legs look thinner than they really are. Here is a similar style with a lower heel. I’m very intolerant to pain and usually end up going home early because my feet hurt when it comes to wearing heels so a platform is definitely helpful for me.

Hair & Makeup / For hair I did my usual down and curled.  Portland and Seattle traffic is awful so we had to get ready super quick since it took awhile to get there. I did a simple coppery eyeshadow look with Koko lashes and nude lip.  When I go out I tend to want to wear my Kylie Vacay Nudes liquid lipsticks. They last well and seem to compliment the makeup looks I do.

Jewelry / The floral drop earrings I wore are sold out, but these are similar.

Tan / “If you can’t tone it, tan it” is my motto, so when I show any skin I like to self tan. The night before I did one coat of Sjolie, then the morning of the party I did one coat of Loving Tan 2 Hr Dark.  I’ve been using the Sjolie for about a month now and it fades the best out of any tan I have tried yet, which is a lot.

Bag /  I bring this little cross body bag with me whenever I go out! It comes with a little mirror with a card slot that I can pop my ID and debit card in.  It hold everything I need with plenty of room to spare. It’s a good price and feels extremely well made and sturdy.

More than anything I had a great time at the party. Thanks for reading and have a great day!

First off I want to say fantastic blog! I had a quick question that I’d like to ask if you do not mind.

I was interested to find out how you center yourself and clear your head prior to writing.
I have had a hard time clearing my mind in getting my ideas out.
I truly do enjoy writing but it just seems like the
first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be wasted simply just trying to
figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or tips?
    Cheers!
